I don't know how they do it but we use a product called peek plus from bytware. It lets you watch another users screen. You set the refresh rate in seconds - not keystroke by keystroke. It also lets you send a command to the job and to view/modify the job's LDA. I have used the send command to send ovrdbfs to batch jobs to allow them to continue running. It works very well.
