trying to bring up a point that the 400 is not immune to this kind 
of behavior?

scenario?  If I have a service program that I change, I don't' have to
recompile my programs, right?  So in the AS/400 somewhat immune
to this type of problem?

Basically, I've run into this problem.  It's probably not fair to go 
into this list because I just recompiled to get around it.  Fairness 
would request a post of the error message, some of the program definitions, 
etc, at time of failure.  But I'll probably bring that up some day.
