4224 attached to 5294 -- MIDRANGE-L

We have tried several different printer descriptions and still can not get the
printer to print.  The writer says it is printing but all that happens at the
printer is the Ready light blinks.  We have tried 4224 as IPDS, 5224, 5256 all
to no avail.  The class is *rmt.  The address of the printer is 01 (A1) and the
locadr in the printer description is 08.  We have a 4 port 5294 with 5 devices
with the printer on it's own port.  We have tried different twinax cables and
ports, but have not replace the T-connector as yet.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
