Don,

I had ALMOST forgotten about THAT !!! Wasn't the it something like IBM had
planned on having  a decent tape drive but the folks that were doing it ran into
trouble and by the time IBM found out it was too late to hold up the 400 ?

We ended up getting a HUGE 3480 tape cartridge unit made by... hmmm, can't
remember - but at LEAST we could save a bunch of stuff. Then as we upgraded we
got the 3490 and then the 3590. I LOVED that 3590 !!!
