From a command line, type GO  SERVICE.  This will bring up the Service Director 
menu.  There should be an option to allow you to specify whether or not you 
want PTFs automatically downloaded.

For the version I have loaded, I choose option 7 (Work with Service Functions) 
and then option 9 (Automatic PTF Monitoring and Retrieval).

BTW....we haven't had too much trouble from Y2k....hope the rest of you are as
lucky...most of our problems were due to people powering down for the first time
(don't ask me why they haven't done so before).
