Agreed. I am NOT recommending shutting down my systems for Y2K. If your systems are normally up, leave them up. Have you considered the issue that disk drives that are *NEVER turned off sometimes don't restart. What happens when several thousand customers call for IBM hardware support (you know, all those guys/gals that they have been incenting to leave recently) to find out that *NO_ONE is available on New Years Day. The Y2K date roll has been extensively tested. It will happen and it will work from an OS/400 perspective. (This assumes that you're not on V2R3, like the guy that I just responded to.) If you are unsure about your applications, go to a restricted state for the roll, however for most people, I consider this to be extreme.
