  • Subject: PTF Problems?

Group,

Last night we loaded and applied the Hiper PTFs on a V4R3 system that
were released in the prior week. Today we had about 8 jobs hang and 5
others while trying to determine what those jobs were doing. This problem
started well into the day, and the first to hang was an invoicing job that had
run dozens of times earlier in the day. It appears to be a lock problem
with one or two files (dspfd on either file will lock up a job). Endjobabn has
no affect on these jobs. These jobs are not consuming any resources.
We are going to back off these PTFs tonight and one in particular mf98398
for apar MA21097 sounds highly suspect. Another mf98363 is suspicious.
Has anyone experienced similar problems with these recently released
PTFs? It would be nice to narrow it down quickly.

David Morris
