As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

true.  we did a y2k conversion for a company, that had a package that
was considered the premier in the industry.  and the customer had paid
for their as/400 version.  would you believe they still used addrout
sort files for alternate indexes??  i was shocked!
