I am also a newbie and doing the very same thing. You definately have to issue STRPCO first. Although I was having trouble at first when I tried to put in the full path of RTOPCB.EXE, my trouble went away when I just reduced it to RTOPCB.EXE without the path. I never did take the time to find out why. Here is what I have, and it IS working... STRPCO MONMSG MSGID(IWS4010) CHGVAR VAR(&TRANSFER) VALUE('RTOPCB.EXE + Y:\LEX2000\SPF\JDEDWNLD\' *CAT &MSGDTA + *TCAT '.TTO') STRPCCMD PCCMD(&TRANSFER) Where &MSGDTA is the name of the transfer I need to run. Hope it helps. We do not have static IP addresses, so FTP is out. I am attempting to use the following command: STRPCCMD PCCMD('C:\Progra~1\IBM\Client~1\rtopcb.exe C:\download\test.tto') Am I using the correct syntax? do I need to set up this command with STRPCO or something similar for the PC? When the CL program is run, I receive no errors, yet, the file is never transferred. We are accessing the AS400 over an NT network with Client Access on the users' PCs. (I am assuming the AS400 knows to use the C:\ of the PC that the user is on.) Also, the test.tto file works fine when run from the PC side. I am a newbie, so, don't assume I know what I am doing. Help, please.
