*RANT ON There are those that don't want to hear bad news, and those that want to hear it as soon as possible. I try real hard not to work for the former... as I find they are either too busy to do things right, or incompetent. Either way YOU are the one who will lose. For my part, I say give me the bad news and let's get to dealing with it. Surprise me with it later, and it's my fault for hiring you in the first place. Thanks for bringing up a subject that has been my own personal rant for much too long. P.S. If you really don't want to hear the bad news, give me the resources I need and stay out of the way. *RANT OFF ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Quit penalizing IT personnel that give bad news, and respect their evaluations. The latter will save you money in the long run. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
