Spool message display

I am wanting to display messages waiting for a spool file as you 
would normally do through an option 7=Message.  Is there a way to 
take the user to that message screen requesting a response?  I have 
the spool information in a program.  We are on V3R2.  I am looking 
for a programming way (sample code?), not a software purchase way.
