"a little" email advertising I can deal with.  When you have to abandon
e-mail accounts because you get 99% junk mail and 1% real stuff, it
becomes ridiculous.  And, yes, I have abandoned accounts before
because of this.

If I want junk email I'll let you know I want it.  And there are a few
junk e-mail I get every day because I requested them, and have just
been too lazy to unsubscribe myself.
