David has provided a new dimension to our community. He is providing what COMMON, THE400GROUP, NEWS/400, MIDRANGE COMPUTING, MIDRANGE SYSTEMS, etc. do yet without the advertising and sponsorship. It has proved an invaluable service and yes, David, deserves the credit as the back room Wizard in the Wizard of Oz. David is not one to spend his time strutting for credit and it's nice to see him get recognized. Yeah David! Not least, however, (and I think David knows this) the list is valuable because of the participation from you who are reading this and other posts. This ad hoc "membership" provides incredible insights into solutions for real problems. This is the revolution we live in. Its free, its available, it happening, and you are part of it. And if you want to look back into the archives the are available too. This is a living thing here and it is made possible by wizards. I think sponsorship by IBM or anybody would junk this list up completely. Look what has happened elsewhere. I would be very suspect of sponsorship. My world is cluttered with enough stuff like that. Could be akin to killing the goose that laid the golden egg.
