Me, I strongly recommend using the SBMFAX instead of the SNDFAX. With SBMFAX you get the logging that you can check in CHKFAXSTS. Fax/400 works off of a menu, GO FAX, opt 1 is administration. You need to set-up Fax descriptions and Cards. This is where you control incoming and outgoing. I only use ours for outgoing. Make sure you start enhanced services so users can fax PC documents. We started using OVERLAYS and other form objects on our Fax files. It looks like Fax400 is cl-driven, ie., you'd have to call a cl at EACH "fax# change". Any advice will be appreciated, ie., how did you do it?? I have a CL that runs a dataque attached to an outq, the RPG's that produces the spool files, override to this outq. In the CL we display the attributes of the spool file and do cpysplf and extract information. In the RPGs we added a write to an internal PF that has the JOB/NUMBER/USER and spool file number and other faxing information for the spool file plus the overlay I may want to use and the phone number which may be gathered from your master files. Through overrides and the command SNDFAX and a couple of RPG call's in the CL we pull it all together and fax it. All of the FAX commands work off the GO FAX menu. The PC faxing is done using a printer you added of an IBM printer. You print to that printer. I have a document I created for out shop that I could send to you in a Zip file if you are interested. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: firstname.lastname@example.org +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: email@example.com +---
