All of the S series were optimized for batch. At that time (not so long ago)
IBM sold 6xx and Sxx models, the 6xx's were optimized for interactive jobs,
the Sxx's for batch, these have been replaced by the 7xx's, which are tuned
before delivery for one or the other.
