My memory is a little fuzzy, but I think this is the same thing that happens to us on occasion (I think I've seen it about 5 or 6 times in the last two years across our 60 or so remote outqs). The first time it happened I THINK ibm told me it was the result of the printer dropping it's connection. Don't take me at my word, my memory is a little fuzzy... all I know is it wasn't an application issue. Hope that helps. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Larkin [mailto:blarkin@wt.net] Sent: Monday, October 04, 1999 10:47 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Help - Weird error with TCP printing & HPT There are NO twinax attached printers. Funny thing, it prints just fine the majority of the time. For both my file and all others. Some days the problem will not appear, other days it might pop up three or four times. This client does have support from IBM, so they are not on a per-call basis. Manager just doesn't want to call. believes that since I wrote the program, I should fix it. Of couse, if they would set SAVE(*YES) on the spool file that caused the problem, I might have a clue to go on, but so far they haven't been able to find the time to do that.
