Hi Mark,

First, I use the IBM AFP 300 printer definition and direct it to a file.
Next, create the overlay in your PC application and print it a file.
Using the Netserver function, copy the file into an IFS stream file.
Use CPYFRMSTMF to copy to the database file - use CVTDTA(*NONE)
ENDLINFMT(*FIXED) TABEXPN(*NO) to ensure that it is not mangled in the
process.
PRTAFPDTA can be used to print the contents of the file and CRTOVL can be
used to create an overlay object which can be attached to a printer file.
