Terry -- It's been a while ... but I actually did some sessions at COMMON in 1991 on GDDM programming. I do NOT think you can do barcoding ... BUT ... you COULD: 1. Create an algorithm for the barcode type that produces GDDM commands to draw the barcode. 2. Pass your data to the algorithm to produce the results. Whew! UGLY. We did this in VB a few years back. GDDM? ... well ... all I can say is "have fun". We have a program that produces gift certificates, and a request has come in to place a barcode on these. Rather than trash this program and write it with IPDS commands, I'd prefer to modify it. I'm not too optimistic, since the GDDM programming guide and reference manuals do not make any mention of barcodes. Any ideas, or am I SOL? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
