Thanks for the reply, but if you were already on V4 then I wouldn't
anticipate there would have been a charge.  My question was for the
V3R2 (CISC) to V4Rx customer.  If staying at the same tier, there
obviously is an upgrade charge due.

Many years ago, before software subscription, what I was told was that
you could step down in processor tiers without charge or refund, but
then if you later needed to step up again you'd need to pay the
regular full tier upgrade price even if you could prove you had
previously been licensed for that tier.  This could be costly.

I have a customer who started on a B45 (ie P10 tier) then went to a
200 which was also a P10 tier.  I just want to make sure we consider
all the ramifications when looking at a replacement box.  The move
from P05 to P10, if it should be needed again, is more than the cost
of the hardware they would otherwise need now.  I just want to make
sure all the cards are on the table and they make an informed decision
so there are no surprises later...
