Try these... 1. Point your browser to http://www.midrangecomputing.com/search/ and key "some assembly required" into the keyword search field. This should present you with a reference to "The Model 170: Some Assembly Required" which is a .pdf from a recent article in Midrange Computing magazine. Without refering to A9002000 specifically, the article does provide the instructions to change the System Console Type from a PC to a local workstation. If this doesn't work, 2. Point your browser to http://as400service.rochester.ibm.com/supporthome.nsf/a80bff372a96bdfa862567 2700593d01/76832b5b5752eb508625673c008314ad?OpenDocument Although it refers to SRC A9002000 appearing during a CISC-RISC Transition, it does present a solution. -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of William A.(Tony) Corbett Sent: September 13, 1999 12:53 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: SRC - A900 2000 - ALWAYS Any ideas on how to get rid of this src code ALWAYS showing?? Here's what happened: I ordered the 170 with the twinax option, for the express purpose of putting a no-problems dumb terminal as the console (and for any twinax devices I may want in the future). When I installed (V4R3 originally, I'm now on V4R4), my pc had no place left (out of resources/IRQ's) to install the "pc as console". So I just dropped it. Now, I'm always showing src code A900-2000 on the panel. I don't really want the PC Console option, I prefer a dumb terminal as the console. It's a card problem, I believe, I needed a 2xxxx verses a 9xxxx card (I don't remember the rest). I've talked to the gurus in Rochester, no real help..... Any ideas from any of you IBM guys???? I'm sure I'm not the only one with this "problem" and I'd really like my 170 to show a "normal" display....... -- William A.(Tony) Corbett corbett@asresources.com http://www.asresources.com http://www.cbt400.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
