Brad, The way we set up these types of sites is by throwing in a router (Netopia) in the equation. BTW, I do not work for, nor receive consideration from, Farallon, the manufacturer. The AS/400, in our case, has IP address 10.x.x.2 with the Telnet server running and all local WS direct to this. The router, in our case, has 2 IP address' 10.x.x.1 and our public address. The router will forward HTTP requests to the AS/400 and blocks all other ports/protocals. This also allows the local users to have outbound (web/ftp/etc.) access. For remote support services (me) the router can be configured to block all telnet attempts, except from specific IP address'. Since I have a static address this allows me to get in, but blocks everyone else. I'm sure that other routers can perform similar functions, but for $700 it works very well for our needs.
