Brad the way this could be done is two NICS then use the built in IP
Filtering and NAT to run your internal server and present it with a separate
address to the outside world. Use the filters to block inbound Telnet access
and away you go ! Bob has written a really good article on IGNITe/400
http://www.ignite400.org on setting NAT up.

Thanks

Subject: AS/400 connected to intranet and internet?

Just wondering if anyone has done the following, or maybe has an idea of
another way to do it.

I was thinking about setting up an AS/400 to act as a web server for the
internet. I also want to do developement on it and have it server as an
intranet server. The thing is, on the internet side, I don't want someone
to be able to telnet to my IP address and get a signon screen. But, I still
want to be able to signon to do work, so ending the Telnet server wouldn't
work. Make sense?

How would this be done? Two NICs? Two IP addresses? Maybe I'm barking up
the wrong tree.
