I've got a program (c based) that I compiled for V3R2 on a V4R3 box. The program compiles ok and a display of the pgm indicates a "Release created for" of V3R2. The program will save and restore to that level. However attempts to run the program result in an MCH4437 - Program import not found. The calling program refers to a procedure or data export from service program QSOSRV2 which does not exist. Now obviously this is because the IBM run time routines have changed between the two releases - no issue there. But what's the point of being able to create a program for a previous release if there's no way it can run there? Anyone else found this - did I miss something?
