Nina:
You are correct EDI is not effortless, but if the application interfaces are
well designed it should not be too painful bringing up additional partners
for the same EDI transaction.  The application interface should be as
generic as possible and let the mapper do all the unique to the trading
partner work.  We have seen some clients who try to use a pretty generic map
and hard code like crazy in the application interface programs.  It defeats
the purpose of the mapper.
