In CA/400  5763XD1  V3R2M0  Data Transfer you will find the option for
"Convert CCSID 65535"
under, File, Properties.

Many moons ago, IBM included the following in their release notes for
CA/400
on CCSID 65535.  Why they did not include it is still a mystery to this
day.
Check to see if you have a file called CWBTFR.INI which should reside in
the
C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access directory.  Older versions may have had
you create the file in the C:\WINDOWS directory.  If not, place the
attached
file in there and see if it helps with the CCSID issue.
If  you find the file is there, open it with Notepad and check to make sure
the ForceTranslation statement is set to 1.  If it is not, change it to a 1
and save the file.  When you are done, the file should look just like the
attached CWBTFR.INI file.
