Do u mean the RPG CLEAR op code, doesnt work on subfiles. What u need to clear a subfile based on the following DDS, eg. subfile record name is SFL and the control record is SFLCTL is C SETOF 5051 C SETON 52 C WRITE SFLCTL 0036.00 A 50 SFLDSP 0037.00 A 51 SFLDSPCTL 0038.00 A 52 SFLCLR 0039.00 A 53 SFLEND(*MORE) boothm@ibm.net wrote: > I can't imagine what I am doing wrong. If you really want to "Clear" out a subfile use erase in the control record, when you need to be the opposite reaction when you set off the SFLDSP indicator. This Leaves no "Phantom" subfile on the screen to confuse the users, when you don't happen to "write" something in the subfile screen space.
