When you use the FTP client on the 400, it is trying to talk to an FTP
server on the PC.  Do you have an FTP server program running on the PC?

Also, you may need to use the NAMEFMT 1 command to enable IFS names on
the 400 client.

Can you please include the FTP command you are using.  Also, any
subcommands if other than

        get \\Pc02\c:\mydocu~1\test.doc \\My400\QDLS\myfolder

Also, the exact text of the error message.
