You would lose the ability to continue the job if the message queue filled.
Now that's not necessarily a bad thing. One thing NOWRAP will do is
eventually bring an out of control job to an end when the job message queue
finally fills. The most common cause of this seems to be when a connection
to a terminal/PC fails and goes into a loop trying to write to the display.
At least with NOWRAP the job will eventually die (after creating a job log
of several thousand pages - depending on value set for QJOBMSGQMX). With
PRTWRAP the job would print the message queue, then continue looping.

Subject: QJOBMSGQFL System Value

What can anyone tell me about the QJOBMSGQFL system value. Ours is set to
*PRTWRAP. What do I gain or lose by setting it to *NOWRAP?
Thanks
