Robin, Yowzer! How did I manage to complicate this like I did? Excellent example. Beats mine by a mile. BTW, the api is named QEZSNDMG (it was misspelled QEZSNDMSG). Question though: Is there a (perhaps automatic) way to have error messages returned by the QEZSNDMG api to display when the command finishes? Like the CPF1EB9, "Invalid User ID" error? Or would you have to encapsulate the QEZSNDMG in a CL or RPG program to do that? I was in the process of adding that function to my RPGLE program that I posted yesterday when your solution came along. Figured, why bother reinventing that wheel if there's a better way! I changed your message text parameter from a length of 120 to 512. Also had to change the "message text length" parameter from X'00000078' to X'00000200'. - Dan Bale +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
