Bob,

It sounds like an under-powered box but I don't have Domino nor do I have a
model
620. I have a model 170-2164 which has an interactive performance rating of 29
and we have 512MB of RAM and 32GB RAID-5. We're on V4R2 and I'm going to go to
V4R4 most probably in September. It is our only box.

When you say that your box is "not very responsive for email or web services",
are you saying it is very responsive to the rest of the workload? I can't see
how it could do everything fine except email and web services. Are you maybe
overloading the interactive portion of the box? Online queries, accounting
package doing things interactively, etc.

Our setup is very simple. 128 ISDN line to a CISCO 1004 router to the AS/400
(soon to be ADSL-faster/cheaper). The AS/400 is is doing the firewall, proxy,
smtp, pop3, telnet, etc. E-mail client at the desktop is Netscape Communicator.
One of our remote offices is using Client Access over the Internet to us. Web
surfing is great. Our own web site only has our address up so don't look.
Intranet is simple. All other offices around the world sign up to any ISP they
want (IBM mostly) and point their e-mail settings to our AS/400. That way
everyone has the same @rachisholm.com and they don't have an e-mail size limit.
We have a second domain setup on our AS/400 for another business. People within
local calling dial-in to our IBM 8235 and do e-mail and web surfing. No need to
sign up for Internet at home.

I don't know what other information I can provide. Let me know.
