Hi, Ayala: From: Ayala <ilena@compuserve.com> Sent: July 8, 1999 6:38 PM > As already pointed out, the tool in question isn't one of the TAA Tools. > (Jim Sloan did write a number of utlilty program articles for Midrange > Computing though, so the confusion is understandable.) Yes. In fact, I was one of those who pointed it out. > FWIW, a number of > the TAA Tools from QUSRTOOL *have* been rewritten for the TAA Productivity > Tools product to use system APIs. That's interesting, though, isn't it? I mean, why would you need to change the input parameters on a program, when you went in there just to use APIs? I know that when I converted the TAA tools, I never had that problem. I did change (add) parameters, though, for new function. But checking the number of parameters in RPG is a piece of cake, no? > (BTW, Dennis, Jim's not on this list, but several folks from the Barsa > office are, so we try to keep an eye out for stuff like this.) "Curiouser and curiouser," said Alice. It was Jim who wrote to me to let me know that the tool wasn't his. He was very nice about it, understand, but I wonder how he knew? Maybe a forward from someone on the list. Anyway, sorry for the miscommunication. -- Dennis Lovelady Fayetteville, GA mail: dennis@lovelady.com dennis.e.lovelady@ac.com URL: http://lovelady.piedmont.net ICQ: 5734860 -- "I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it." - Harry S Truman +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
