We are V4R2M0 and current ptf's on an S2 and my experience with QMQRY is
rather limited.

In the Query/400 product, in the Report Column Formatting option you could
do an F16 on the field whose edit code you wanted to change. Change a field
defined as numeric to a use the date edit code was a simple matter of
changing the edit code to a "2".

In QMQRY, I am not finding a way to do the same thing. I keep getting the
error message QWM1515 " Edit code for column x not valid." Under the Edit
Column Formatting option I've changed the edit code to TDY/ (YYYY/MM/DD) and
get the error when running the sample report. Running with no edit code,
the date is formatted with decimals and period just like a numerically
defined field would be edited.

The field is defined as a packed 8,0 and the data displays like YYYYMMDD.

Reading the manual and edit codes doesn't seem to help. I've tried the
three edit codes available with & without the separator character and still
get the error.

I'm guessing that QMQRY is not letting the date edit code be applied to a
non date defined field while Query/400 didn't seem to care.

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments would be welcome as to how I can get the
TDY/ edit code to work on a non date defined field. BPCS strikes again.
