We use 7 direct attached and 1 LAN attached 3995.  The hardware for the direct 
and LAN attached is excellent.  I recommend a direct attached over the LAN 
attached due to additional software functionality such as copying platters on a 
direct attached is by sector while LAN attached is by file, which means direct 
attached copies are about 6 times faster.  IBMs support for direct attached is 
excellent.  Also direct attached is faster for retrieval and migrations.   I am 
familiar with IBMs Image Plus Imaging system and IBMs OnDemand COLD system, but 
not Real Vision.

Does anyone use this system?  We are looking at it and would like to know
what actual users think of the system.  How reliable is it?
Also, what about the IBM jukebox?  I hear they are the same as Plasmon,
which we do not like.  In our setup we would have to use Lan Attached
versions of the jukebox.
