  • Subject: Joblog pending error

 Hello,

I have an embedded SQL RPGLE program which retrieves records from a remote
Oracle
database on a RS/6000. Program has been working great until Oracle was upgraded
to 8.0. The program runs in batch and there were a few instances when the
program
tried to retrieve a row which contained a null value in one of the columns. When
this happened, the batch job(s) went into status of JOBLOG PENDING and has
stayed
there for the past 3 days.
The error in the joblog is as follows:

Connected to server EDSD running ORACLE Version 8.0.5.0.0.
Space offset X'00124E00' is outside current limit for object
 SQL system error.
Pointer not set for location referenced.
Pointer not set for location referenced.

Function check. MCH3402 unmonitored by QDMTCLSE at statement *N,
   instruction X'00E4'.

Question : Is an IPL the only way to get rid of these pending jobs ? There are
about 8 jobs in this status. I was monitoring for null values in the program and
it worked until Oracle was upgraded to version 8.0. The job definition
attributes
state that the jobs are in jobq QGPL/QPGMR.. But when I go to workjobq
QGPL/QPGMR
, I do not see these jobs.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!

Ravi
