Point of information. 

a.   BRMS was NOT developed by IBM.  IBM just took over the product very
resently because BRMS had so many bugs.  
b.   It usually is NOT ready until just before GA and then it has many
problems.
c.   It has one of the biggest PTF rates of any LPP
