Art, The *VERIFY means you need to send a password and profile using the TN5250E before you can bypass signon. The password sent may be either clear-text or encrypted - that part is up to the Client. We have not seen any clients giving the user a switch to select clear/encrypted, but if they supported encrypted, I don't know why they would bother to do clear-text anymore. All that is encrypted is the password, data is not encrypted.
