John, >Alas it has grown too noisy for the office environment it is in and we >had to stop using it about 6 months ago > >I was unable to find any one interested in giving it a home :( I have a customer which used a 5225-4 "shake-and-bake" printer continiously as their system printer from Feb '82 until sometime last year. (Bought it with a S/34, then wenth through a few S/36 and AS/400 models.) I have no idea how many trees gave their life for that thing across the 16 years. They still have it but it is no longer the main system printer. Does anyone know if you can get a line count from those things?
