If you are using Inactivity time-out on your TELNET Attributes (CHGTELNA),
make
sure that your Auto-reconnect box is checked in Configure PC5250, under the
Communication menu on the session.  You will still have to sign back on to
the
green screen, but not the router. If you don't want to disconnect at all use
the
CHGTELNA command to set it to '0'. A value of 0 means that there is no
time-out.
 You might have to change the system value QINACTITV on the AS400 too.

A friend of mine that doesn't subscribe to the list but soon will be, has
a Client Access problem.

He is on V4R3, CA 3.2, using PCs with Windows 98 using  TCPIP thru an
ethernet  connection to the AS/400. The PTFs are current as is the service
packs.

Numerous times during the day, the connection to the AS/400 is dropped and
the users have to sign back on the system.

I have basically the same situation but am using Windows 95 and don't have
any problems.

My question is, where should we start looking for possible problems and
solutions?
