Hi, Stuart: >for sat/sun and sun/mon on monday morning, causing chaos! Everything was >sorted out, but since then i have loads of prestart jobs in QSYSWRK. I'm >sure that they weren't there before! A WRKSYSSTS now says that there are >>2000 jobs in the system. >As i'm still fairly new to the 400, can anyone tell me what these prestart >jobs are, what they do, why they are there etc. Are you sure these are prestart jobs? More than likely, it's index build processes resulting from your restore operation. Can you tell us the names of the jobs, and what function they are performing (under STATUS in WRKACTJOB, such as IDX-FILENAME or DEQW or whatever)?
