A couple of weeks ago we expanded out test environment to be a complete duplicate of the live. We use a product called OSD from OS Solutions to perform a periodic reclaim storage on a saturday, but as the number of objects had dramatically increased this took 36hrs rather than 3-4. In the middle of this period a collegue performed a full system backup, which on completion ipl'd the machine and carried on the reclaim storage. The consequence of this is that the machine executed the day end/start routines for sat/sun and sun/mon on monday morning, causing chaos! Everything was sorted out, but since then i have loads of prestart jobs in QSYSWRK. I'm sure that they weren't there before! A WRKSYSSTS now says that there are >2000 jobs in the system. As i'm still fairly new to the 400, can anyone tell me what these prestart jobs are, what they do, why they are there etc. Any help would be appreciated, Stuart Allen sallen@fellowes.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
