RE: IBM pushing Java

I imagine many others, including myself, are also in this position.  I
would love to learn RPGIV.  We have purchased some computer based
training, and it will sit on the side of my desk near the pile of
projects that have no chance of ever getting started.  But it does seem
to be approaching a point where I better catch up or get left behind?
Soon this is how my weekends will likely be spent.

This is a situation that I have been in before. Every time you get a
release of the software, you must apply your customizations to the
new version. If there was a tool that would take the RPG IV and
convert it back to RPG III so you could compare it to the vendor's
new code... This can make switching to RPG IV unreasonable. I
can appreciate the predicament that Terry is in. I am huge fan of
RPG IV, but would take the same position as Terry does for  their
situation.
