Brian,

Wish I could answer the questions but I have seen the same thing. We FTPd
some 40MB files from a 300(V3R2) to a 620(V4R3) both boxes dedicated and got
about the same throughput - pathetic. I routinely get 600+ kb/sec to my laptop
on 10mb!
On the other hand we sent some big (100MB) save files via SNADS across FDDI
(310-dual to 530-quad) and watched entire files transfer in seconds. (couldn't
get a reading on the actual throughput but it was well over 50Mb/Sec) I'm gonna
try FTP over the FDDI and see what I can get there. I should be able to give it
a try on Tuesday.
