Dean, I suspect we may agree more than we disagree. One area of disagreement is that you feel the "loyalty" state has changed. I don't. I feel it is never been more than a mirage, a propaganda piece, an idea for the press and the public. The IBM lifetime employment mirage was always based upon an ever-expanding work force - a ponzi scheme of employees if you will. Outside of IBM and government though the idea of permanent employment was never a fact. The post-WWII boom made it seem real but it never was in any places I ever saw.
