There are a TAA Tool, with two commands, that will do exactly what you
want.  The save command is Save Interchange Data (SAVICHDTA), and the
restore command is Restore Interchange Data (RSTICHDTA).  

These were designed to move data and source from an early AS/400 to a
System/38, but should work between any two unsupported save/restore
releases today.
