What do you mean. Do you mean that I can now create a CLLE module, because that to me is just another source member that has to be managed! No, when I process my workfile (e.g.), I want to do my CLRPFM / DLTF / RMVM or whatever right in the HLL, as opposed to having to do it in a controlling CL or subprogram. As was pointed out, yes, QCMDEXC and QCAPCMD are available, but its not exactly a neat and tidy solution. Would it be possible to create a CLLE module and RPGLE module within the same source member, then create a pre-compiling program to create a program object from this source member? -----Original Message----- From: Pete Hall [mailto:pbhall@execpc.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 1999 3:48 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: RPG/COBOL with embedded CL At 05:13 03/15/1999 , Colin Williams wrote: >I have often thought, if IBM allowed CL program commands to be embedded >in their HLL's, they would make development a lot quicker, allowing >development of HLL programs without the overhead of having to wrap them >in a CL control program to perform any sort of housekeeping/error >capture. >Anyone else got any thoughts on this.
