Java for AS400

My boss, bless her heart :-), wants me to learn and evaluate Java for the
AS400 and Visual RPG so I can recommend one to our group.

I need some down and dirty info.  Any sources you may know would be
appreciated.   I am going the 'Java for the AS400, conceptual to practical'
in Chicago but am not sure this is enough.  I would like some reading,
hands on, etc. material.   Or a week long class on Java for the AS400 is
there  a huge difference between Java and Java the the AS400?
