Hi All,

Lately I am working with some QMQRY objects. The QMQRY objects are having the
attribute as SQL/PROMPT. Each one is doing some query (Select field1, field2
from FILEA....). We are chaning the file DDS for FILEA and recreating the FILEA
with new modified lengths of the fields. (We are not deleting any of the
existing fields. We are just modifying the lengths of some fields!!)

Now my question is - when we change FILEA, do I have to do anything with the
QMQRY that is doing a query on FILEA? Do I have to recreate the QMQRY again
(sort of recompiling the QMQRY object??) I tried this with a sample file and
sample QMQRY. And looks like I dont need to recreate or do any type of changes
to QMQRY object. I dont have to recreate it also. Are my observations correct?

Also I am working with some Sys38 query programs (Object is *PGM and Attribute
is QRYEXC). I am using CHGQRYDEF to change the query. My question is that if
FILEA is changed, do I have to recreate or do anything with this *PGM (QRYEXC)
object. My guess is that I have to recreate the *PGM object. (there is a menu
option to create the query apprlication.)

Any suggestions/help is appreciated. TIA.
