V4R2 Backup Basics

I am new to the AS/400 and working on a backup strategy. The menus seem to
offer a good backup (Save Option 21) to hopefully save everything I will
ever need to recover. (Please correct me if this is wrong.) I can still fit
that onto a single tape. While that is true, I would like to implement some
type of unattended backup, but must shut down processes such as Domino to do
so. Otherwise they are just taken down hard and I think I risk corruption.

I would like to write a batch CL program to initiate this process at a
specified time instead of using the menu option. That would allow me to wrap
other things around the backup. Is there a single command to replace Option
21, or does it take a series of SAVSYS and other commands?
