IF you can produce a SET of data base records or JOURNAL ENTRIES instead of SPOOLED FILES ... THEN there is NO PROBLEM. He He .... That is an IF , THEN statement ..... I am sure you have considered those approaches ... You can have a Job dedicated to do the following .. Generate the spooled entries and check for 1. Number of spooled entries reaching 9,999 OR 2. Job has run for 1 Hour ..... IF 1. or 2. Submit new Job to *JOBQ with same charactheristics of previous job. You will have a discrete number of jobs (say 24 a day) and the JOB STRUCTURE of each job will not be extended as MUCH as is happening right now with ONE JOB Hope this helps.
