This is a true story... Last week the main offices of the Daewoo motor company in Australia were broken into. The 'thieves' spent sixteen hours attempting to trash the company's AS400 server. How? First they threw the machine down a flight of steps. Next, they ran it over a couple of dozen times with a forklift truck. Lastly, they drowned the server with a fire hose. Despite all this, IBM technicians were able to recover all of the data stored on the drives. It is believed that the culprits were attempting to destroy evidence of a possible embezzlement. http://www.segfault.org/story.phtml?mode=2&id=36bd7eae-03c884a0 -- David Gibbs Sr. Software Engineer Mortice Kern Systems US, Inc. 2500 S.
